Sharepoint Developer - Contract Until June - Government Department

- INITIAL CONTRACT UNTIL JUNE 2013 + POSSIBLE EXTENSION

The department is looking for several SharePoint developers for an initial contract until June 2013.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

- Engage in analysis, development, support and documentation tasks relating to the delivery of SharePoint solutions to meet agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
- Provide systems support services to meet customer demand for the resolution of incidents, problems, service requests and business improvement initiatives
- Provide accurate delivery estimates for work to be performed.
- Comply with appropriate policy and guidelines specified within department's Project Management, Systems Development, Solutions Architecture and Service Management frameworks.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, software solutions, better practice methodologies and opportunities for business improvement as required.
- Provide technical advice to other department staff and participate in skills transfer as required.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Proven ability to manage, develop and support enterprise-wide SharePoint environments using Microsoft development tools and platforms. Including SharePoint Server configurations, WebParts, WorkFlow Foundation, CAML, STSADM, Visual Studio 2008/2010, WSPBuilder and Team Foundation, Windows Server 2008, Active Directory Security, IIS, .Net, C#, XML/XSL and SQL Server.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to design, develop, document and implement SharePoint solutions within agreed time, cost and quality expectations.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a security clearance; therefore, applicants will be required to be Australian citizens.
