Our client is transforming their web portal and creating a new platform on which theirs and other portals will be built. This platform will be built on SharePoint Online using the new Cross Site Publishing feature of SharePoint 2013, where content authors create content once and the content is then available to be shown on one or many sites over multiple form factors (tablet and phone).

You must have a solid understanding of software engineering principles, strong data modelling abilities, and expertise on object-oriented analysis and design. You must be proficient and a strong track record in developing enterprise level software solutions. You must also possess strong problem-solving/analytical skills and a proven track record of delivering secure, high quality software.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, development and coding will be the major part of the day activities.
- Prepare technical specifications and deployment documents.
- Unit testing and integration testing of components.
- Collaboration with development lead and cross discipline peer -, PM, test.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- SharePoint (4+ years) development tasks are client side heavy (no Server Side code allowed in SPO): should have good experience building master pages, page layouts and ability to build display templates (new feature)
- Strong Web Dev (8+ years) strong in JavaScript/JQuery, CSS, HTML5
- Good experience with MVC/Web API, Web Services (4+ years)
- Azure experience (1+ year)
- Experience in Responsive Design a plus (scaling gracefully to different resolutions on multiple form factors)
- Experience in creating Accessible UIs a plus
- Excellent problem solving and analysis aptitude
- Very high passion for quality
- Ability to collaborate and work well across disciplines and teams
- Good verbal and written communications skills

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- BS/BA in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Overall 10+ years of software development experience
- 4+ years of SharePoint development experience
- 8+ years of web development experience
- Experience with MVC/Web API, Web Services (4+ years)
- Azure experience (1+ year)
- Ability to work with minimal direction and in a team to do proof of concepts, out of the box thinking and coming up with possible alternatives to solve a given problem
- Willingness to learn new technologies such as SharePoint online technologies and provide feedback to the product group
