Sharepoint Developer

SharePoint Developer required for application development and configuration. The position requires strong technical and communication skills, and a demonstrable track record. The role includes all technical challenges associated with developing SharePoint applications for better business process management, enterprise content management, and business intelligence solutions. The role will involve;

* Project planning and tracking
* Application development and technical code reviews
* Cross team coordination for project delivery
* Deliver on challenging projects such as Workflow and integration projects using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, InfoPath 2010 and InfoPath 2010, Enterprise Search and other features of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010
* Enterprise Portals and Content Management
* Plan and architect portal based solutions, development of web parts
* Design and develop extremely reliable, scalable and high performing code
* Ensure quality of the code using code quality tools and frequent code reviews
* Drive code reviews
* Regular collaboration with dev team
* Iterative prototyping
* Ensure process compliance

Troubleshooting and Problem solving

* Resolve technical queries raised by the development team
* Troubleshoot technical problems in various projects and tune for performance

Advise on technical standards, best practices, and SharePoint practice

* Define and enforce coding standards, design styles and best practices
* Identify and streamline routine processes in a fast-paced environment
* Enforce and update the SharePoint coding standards for future code design, team based-development and code release management
* Advise on software and hardware to enhance the development environment and process

Mentor and develop technical team

* Mentor a development team of up to 5 software engineers (new to SharePoint)
* Ensure project team is trained to deliver on project requirements

Candidate Profile:

* Hands-on experience in designing and implementing portals and sites using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010
* In- depth knowledge in advanced topics like Workflows, Web parts, InfoPath, BDC, Enterprise search, FAST Searching etc.
* Strong technical background in Microsoft platform: C#, Ajax, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, XML Web Services
* Prior work experience working with Microsoft Corporation is a plus
* Local candidates preferred.
