Sharepoint Developer

Our Central Government client is currently looking for a SharePoint Developer to be based in either Newcastle or Leeds on an initial 50 day contract. This is an immediate requirement.

This role will be working within the Directorate responsible for implementing the SharePoint platform for Online Business Procedures.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
a) Own the update and maintenance of SharePoint solutions such as Master Pages, Page Layouts, Term Store, Web Parts, and Features.
b) Review requirements, solution overviews and detailed design documents from suppliers for assurance and solution optimisation purposes.
c) Assure supplier documents and build.
d) Provide 'hands-on' capability to produce artefacts, documents including test and integration activities.
e) Work closely with business and technical Subject Matter Experts to elicit, clarify, and provision business requirements

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
*Work with business leads to gather and document requirements.
*Design and maintain integrated solutions
*Maintain traceability to business requirements from a data perspective
*Take ownership of solution related design decisions throughout the delivery, including selection of tools to support development activities
*Ensuring development-specific project activities technically align including
-Assurance of technical documentation
-Configuration and implementation
-Ensuring that the architecture is consistent from a development perspective

*Ensuring compliance with development-related standards and key architectural principles

Skills/Experience Required
*Track record of complex projects/programmes with high IT content
*Working across multi-disciplinary teams in a Matrix structure
*Ability to operate in a highly demanding and challenging environment for performance and delivery pressures.
*Good Stakeholder management skills.
*Supplier Management skills.
*Track record in working on programmes/project involving high degree of information and data content.
