Sharepoint Architect - Back End Developer

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

St. Louis office seeks a Solutions Architect-Back End Developer to join our digital team. This individual will be responsible for Back End code implementation, data access and transactional functionality. This position collaborates with the technical director, operations, designers and public relations account staff to plan and develop online solutions that address client and agency needs. This individual works adeptly within a team environment and can effectively communicate with both software engineers and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate on technical strategy and application architecture
Develop code for websites and applications in support of communications strategies across a breadth of industries that include Fortune 100 clients
Explore and gain expertise in new technologies and applications that can be applied to client projects
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of application design and development principles, as well as the technical infrastructure and database architectural requirements necessary to successfully implement interactive projects
Draft technical specifications to include application and data architecture
Deliver consistently superior client service and high-quality work for multiple clients, frequently on urgent or changing deadlines
Conduct code reviews and maintain consistent development standards
Establish effective partnerships with colleagues across the region and the entire agency

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering
A minimum of seven years of professional software/Web application development experience
A minimum of five years of experience developing with ASP.NET and ADO.NET (C#)
A minimum of three years of experience administering Apache and MySQL in a Linux environment and/or MS-SQL in an IIS environment and developing with PHP and WordPress
Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts and design patterns
Technical architecture experience; ability to strategize and direct multiple efforts under competing project deadlines
Proficient in converting HTML prototypes into well-written ASP.NET pages; SQL Server 2005/2008 and experience writing SQL queries
Web services and related integration expertise
Experience with HTML, XML, Master Pages, Ajax and JavaScript
Broad CMS integration experience
Solid communication skills, including proficiency in developing technical documentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demand-driven environment
Knowledge of Java and other object-oriented technologies and architectures preferred
Experience configuring Windows Web Servers preferred
Microsoft SharePoint experience preferred
Flash/Action Script knowledge preferred
Responsive Mobile Development experience preferred
