Shadow CEO with Project Management - Portuguese Speaker

Executive Manager required for restructuring project for telecommunication operator to fit in the requirements of the fast growing economy in a state of the art ICT infrastructure.

Main Tasks include:

- Program management for the entire restructuring project
- Strategic advisor to the CEO
- Definition of project milestones at C-level
- Monitoring and maintaining the management consultant's governance model
- Active management, tracking and quality assurance of the entire project including reporting of project status, project KPI's and aligning strategy
- Full responsibility for overall time and risk management for the restructuring project
- Preparation of submissions to facilitate the decision making process for Steering Board
- Responsible for creation of executive reporting presentations to Board
- Communication with decision makers in the Telecommunications, Economy and Finance Ministries
- Responsible for up to date project reporting out of the Work Streams including creation of executive project management reports including consolidation and verification of data from various work streams

Job prerequisites:

- Degree in Economics and/or Business Administration specializing in strategy and/or business development and/or Finance.
- Broad experience and expertise in telecommunication business and technologies, high-tech products and communication infrastructure
- More than 7 years experience in Telco Strategies, Business development, restructuring and turnaround management within the telecommunication industry
- Extensive product and market knowledge of the international telecommunications market with a particular focus on the African/Angolan market

Skills:

- Strong managerial and leadership skills, good motivational skills and drive to manage the teams and maintain customer expectations on Board and SteerCo level
- Strong business background in the telecommunication industry (with respect to fixed and wireless Telco operators)
- Good knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management
- Experience in Telco service portfolio, Telco operations, Telco organization and processes expertise concerning the telecommunications value chain, in particular market trends in Africa
- Ability to develop financial plans and budgets, analyse and interpret financial data
- Very strong sense of customer centricity and orientation
