POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The UX Architect ensures that UI/UX designs and implementations for META's custom and packaged software applications meet customer needs. The UX Architect is a member of the META development team. This team builds and maintains mission-critical video production and editorial support systems for television networks. Sample projects include media asset management systems, digital toolkit, digital video archives, and catalog/search systems. The UX Architect works as a Scrum team member, applying practical experience in the key disciplines of UI/UX design and implementation to deliver incremental but complete pieces of business value to stakeholders. -Develop and implement UI/UX designs that follow brand style guidelines. (50%) -Gather user experience requirements. (20%) -Agile/Scrum planning and process improvement (10%) -Architectural planning and design (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a field related to UX Design - Interpret project direction to create and present impactful, intuitive, and on-target UI/UX designs
- A minimum of five years in providing creative sketches in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tool
- Strong working knowledge of Javascript, CSS3, and HTML5 ensuring multi-browser capability
- Experience implementing browser-based UI using Javascript, CSS3, and HTML5
- Strong working knowledge of XML/XSL/JSON, HTML, and associated modern technologies
- Demonstrable excellent design skills and the related strengths in clearly articulating difficult technical concepts and information
- Ability to listen, direct and critique the user community requirements
- Demonstrate flexibility and time management skills by prioritizing workload to ensure projects are high quality and completed on time
- Executing designs that follow brand style guidelines
- Experience with Agile methodologies (examples include Scrum or Kanban) required.

Must demonstrate considerable enthusiasm for the practices that allow for continuous deployment and incremental delivery of business value.
- Should exhibit good system engineering skills (eg, common industry database design and practices, application architectures, operating systems concepts, networking, etc.) in addition to skills in application development.
