SF - Technical Support 3/Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to assist with the deployment and on going support of the enterprise transmission platform. Expertise in Unix platform support and ability to quickly learn the software application are essential.

Perform design tasks and develop components of application and technical architecture
Develop test cases and data
Execute tests for the application or technical architecture components, work with other programmers, designers, and architects to meet application requirements and performance goals, participate in code reviews, inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project, fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing, document the application to facilitate maintenance

Top skills include:
1) Unix/Linux System Administration experience
2) Programming/Scripting capabilities
3) Systems Tuning
4) Transmission protocols, C:D, SFTP, AS2, SSL, HTTSP

In addition to the server administration skills, we are also looking for:

Anyone with a background using Transmission related products like: Connect Direct, Connect Enterprise and/or Sterling File Gateway
Understanding on Certificate management
Strong/proven documentation skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Degree and Bachelors degree (computer science, software engineering, or relevant field) or equivalent work experience required. 6-8 years experience required
