Responsibilities
This position provides the opportunity to be part of meaningful transformation within Verizon Enterprise Solutions by driving new product and revenue growth initiatives to completion. Candidate will leverage their strong project/program management skills to provide structure and discipline to complex and strategic business initiatives to enable stakeholder alignment and on-time/on-scope results. Projects are varied and visible - we work on many of the most strategic efforts driving our company forward. Your leadership and problem solving skills will support business owners and the cross-functional team as they work through the challenges that may jeopardize your program's success.

1. You will have the authority and independence to lead cross-functional teams, identifying key deliverables that enable execution of a given program(s), accountability for driving teams to meet deliverables, and discernment for when to escalate to achieve the stated objectives.
2. You will interface across working teams and executive leadership - up to VP level - to build program plan, communicate an unbiased program status and resolve issues impeding progress.
3. You will integrate the components of complex projects so that they come together to meet a deliverable, while identifying risks and issues as well as related mitigation strategies that will minimize impact of risks or issues, and drive others to agreement and action against an integrated plan.
4. You will influence stakeholders to alter methods and deliverables when needed to meet project charter, as well as articulate comprehensive explanations to Sr. leadership when projects cannot meet desired outcomes.
5. In this role you will be expected to take a leadership role on the team and actively contribute in a value-add manner as one of the principle owners of the project. This is not a simple project management position; it is more than tracking deliverables against a schedule - you will be responsible for driving a sense of urgency to your teams and helping solve problems that impede ability to deliver on time and on scope.
6. One position will deal specifically with expansion of international and domestic billing capabilities for strategic products.

Qualifications

10 years of Program/Project Management experience in areas directly tied to revenue generation. eg 1. Complex new product launches involving significant cross-functional dependencies such as Sales, Legal, Finance, Billing, IT, Network...
2. Software development and launch
Current PMP certification, or expert understanding of and ability to follow structured project management principles and procedures
Demonstrated understanding of how to own and drive projects to completion.
Ability to think quickly and assimilate information to make sound business decisions
Excellent communication skills that enable clear understand of project status, key issues and actions
Exhibit emergent leader characteristics: taking on tasks voluntarily, helping others complete their tasks better and encouraging consensus among coworkers.
Ability to excel in a constantly changing environment.
Advanced use of MS PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio
Ability to synthesize complex information and express key points simply. eg What is root-cause of an issue, who needs to take a specific action, what are the business impacts if not resolved
Ability to add value to project through business experience
Experience driving delivery of large, complex ordering/billing platforms valuable
Enterprise business markets experience valuable
Experience managing large software implementations valuable
Experience managing complex organizations as found in Fortune 500 companies
Proactive with clear demonstration of ability to make things happen
Demonstration of creative problem solving
Ability to interact with internal cross functional resources at both peer, subordinate and executive levels of the organization, while tailoring communications appropriately to each audience
Ability to interact with external partner, customer or vendor resources as required to implement a projects objective
Provide leadership in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) stage gate process and methodology.
.*For Billing related position, experience in management of complex international regulatory/financial requirements will be a plus
