Settlements Analyst - Derivatives

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Allegis Global Solutions are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Settlements Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of Settlements Analyst you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

- Prioritise and process cash settlements for all IRD products
- Agreeing cash settlement amounts and payment instructions
- Resolve any settlement queries on a timely basis, providing high quality service to internal and external clients at all times
- Investigate and resolve nostro and look at the root cause to drive through new initiatives to prevent reoccurrence
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Sales, Front Office and Middle Office teams to identify and address the root cause of issues in the front to back business process
- Meet/exceed ongoing team objectives
- Contribute and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Provide necessary escalation and information on high risk items and issues, ultimately feeding into MI and risk reporting
- Work with the wider Global Derivative Ops settlements team to drive through process efficiencies, improved controls, better client service and the official change agenda
- Implement and adopt Global Derivative Ops settlement best practice
- Support cross training to reduce key dependencies. Enhance product and process knowledge in and outside of the team
- Continual assessment of market practices with a view to maintaining team procedures and practices.

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Settlements experience gained within an Investment banking environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong eye for detail and able to work autonomously
