Our Community Recovery centre in Liverpool is a therapeutic peaceful haven for addiction recovery based in a beautiful Georgian town house in Liverpool city centre. There our clients can learn to live a full and satisfying life without drugs and alcohol with guidance from our professional team. We offer a structured day treatment programme for both men and women.

We are looking for counsellors to join our team on a casual basis to provide cover for holiday/sickness. You won't have any fixed hours of work but we will be able to offer you sessional work fro3 time to time.

Your main role will be:

- to deliver group therapy and workshops to our clients.
- carry out assessments of new clients to make sure our treatment programme will be appropriate for them.
- maintain accurate records on our database and paper based files.
- take part in the daily and weekly team meetings to discuss issues in the community of clients.
- work on our family programme.

You will have a counselling qualification at degree level, ideally in addictions counselling. You will also have a strong background of practitioner experience of working with people affected by substance misuse and their families, and a proven track record of successful treatment outcomes. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with clients, other members of the team and external professionals. You will be resilient, have good self-awareness and self-care. You must have good IT and written skills, including the use of Microsoft Office.
