Servicenow Software Developer

PURPOSE:

The Project will be part of the IT Service Management & Reconciliation Team of under CIB IT Transversal Projects and Services. The team is in charge of implementing and maintaining the reference tool for ITSM - Service Now. (Several processes have been made so far in the tool, and it now has about 3,000 active users across multiple locations.)

JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

Team: Service Now

EXPERIENCE: 4/5 years

QUALIFICATION: Engineering Degree (Computers) or Equivalent

MANDATORY SKILLS

Mandatory 4-5 years of experience in Java
Mandatory 1-2 years of development experience in Java Scripting
Exposure to querying large databases (SQL, PLSQL)
Good Knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Problem, Request, Change, CMDB, IT Financial Management)

PREFERRED SKILLS

Exposure to XML and SOAP
Exposure to Web Services
ITIL Certification
Experience in ITSM Tools like Service Now

Competencies Required
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Have drive, self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and be willing to work with a team
Become independent in assigned projects
Capable of mentoring junior/new team members
Develop resourceful approaches to solving technical problems
Undertake industry recognized certification like ITIL for skill enhancements

Expand and formalize the functional needs
Write functional and technical specifications as per requirement
Configure the ITSM tool (Service-Now) and implement interfaces (eg Web Services, Mail)
Administer the ITSM tool (Service-Now) as per business needs
Train and support users
Provide level 3 support for the application
Participate in training and coaching in his area of expertise
Document the new developments.
Meeting deadlines deliverables.
Keep Management appraised of issues that affect the project and the deliverables of the project
