Service Transition Manager manager required for a Government client based Taunton, South West.

The Service Transition Manager will take the lead in ensuring that all aspects of service transition projects are driven through to delivery; Design, implement maintain robust transition plans taking into consideration any business activities required to integrate new services into the ''business as usual'' environment; Engage with all suppliers as required to complete production and approval of all service transition documentation; Determine the readiness levels of the department and exiting incoming suppliers and business users with regard to upcoming changes.

Essential experience required:

ISEB ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management v3 Desirable

ISEB Certificate in Application Management Essentials

ISEB ITIL Managers Certificate in IT Service Management

ITIL Lifecycle Certificate in Service Transition or equivalent.

PRINCE 2 Practitioner

Take over management of Service Transition for assigned projects, to include:

Establishing regular meetings with Project Managers

Agreeing/updating service transition criteria

Engage with key stakeholders in PMO, IMT and the wider business to discuss issues, plans, improvements and process changes as necessary.

Identify Service Transition requirements, documenting those requirements and producing processes, procedures, working practices and supporting guidance to promote effective service transition from concept to execution.

Knowledge of ITIL Service Transition process.

Familiar with full service life cycle concepts, for example the ITIL V3 life cycle.

Experience of planning and supporting the transition of services into the live environment, including experience of progressing service transfers, transition document sets, etc.

Process management and control skills.

Relationship building with stakeholders.

Familiar with the control and management of IT assets (or configuration items) including hardware, software, documentation, services, suppliers and network facilities by the use and application of strict change management and recording.

Familiar with business continuity concepts such as the methods and techniques for risk management, business impact analysis, countermeasures and contingency arrangements relating to the serious disruption of IT services.
