Service Transition Analyst

This role provides effective management & communication to ensure the implementation, adoption & support of new & existing IT services.
Service Transition Analyst will lead transition activity on assigned projects & services to ensure that new & existing IT services can be operated, supported & maintained to required standards.
Service Transition Analyst will interact with internal & external stakeholders in order to provide a clearly defined, risk-assessed service design.
Service Transition Analyst will transition service into live, ensuring service/operational risk is managed appropriately & that IT Operations are ready to receive the projects into BAU.

Key Role Accountabilities:

Managing the service aspects of solution design & transition through the IT project life cycle.
Working across teams within IT & external parties to provide service acceptance criteria and co-ordinate & validate the design & implementation of new or changed services.
Defining & developing service models, identifying gaps in operational support & working with operational teams to address gaps.
Managing the production of the Service Designensuring that the appropriate information is available to the operational support (resolver) teams & IT Service Owners.
Managing the service components related to operational readiness in early life support to ensure stability of service prior to an IT project closing.
Performing risk & issue management relating to the Service Design & Transition aspects of projects.
Providing specialist advice & guidance on matters relating to Service Design & Service Transition.
Communicating the Service Design & Transition process to stakeholders.
Contribute to the ICT Service business plan for their specific areas of responsibility.
Work collaboratively across directorates & partners in order to achieve quality partnerships with internal & external customers, service managers & external agencies & organisations to achieve the objectives of the ICT Service.
Significant knowledge of the relevant legislative framework & professional stds within the ICT industry.
Qualified in ITIL Service Transition Lifecycle
Ideally holds a Prince 2 qualification
Demonstrable experience in engaging stakeholders to provide service design and transition documentation.
Demonstrable experience of managing the transition of new or changes IT Services into BAU including the production of relevant documentation.
Able to assess service impact and apply them to products and processes.
Able to manage multiple transitions of projects simultaneously.
