Service Technician, test engineer, fault find, repair

I am seeking an experienced service technician to work for a client of mine developing a novel medical device. Working as part of a team within a well-equipped laboratory, you will be fault finding and repairing medical machines or subsystems as necessary.

The right candidate will have:

* Previous experience in a technician role, either in house or in the field

* An ability to fault-find electro mechanical systems - electronics, electrical, pneumatic control, water control

* Experience of working in a quality controlled environment, with knowledge of ISO 13485

* Previous experience of working with medical devices (desirable)

You will help

. Diagnosing machine faults and making repairs.
. Applying rework in accordance with specifications & drawings.
. Applying pass/fail tests to repaired machines.
. Accurately recording service work in the device history file.
. Contributing to ongoing efforts to improve reliability.
. Keeping machines in commission to support verification testing and early stage clinical use.
. Enforcing ESD controls and general good manufacturing practices.
. Developing fault finding methods and transferring these to our manufacturing partners.
. Making suggestions for design improvements.
. Executing engineering, system integration and V&V tests.
. Monitoring machines, recording data, making observations, identifying problems.
. Contributing to test specifications and summary test reports.
