Service Supervisor

TEMPORARY FULL-TIME SERVICE SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Discoverers Service Manager, the Service Supervisor will support the leadership and management of the Discoverers service, including taking part in/agreeing long-term development projects. They will assist in managing provision, which involves being on duty each weekday, and day-to-day management, for example devising suitable rotas and arranging daily/weekly activities for individuals, small groups and projects that all service users can participate in. In agreement with the service manager, the Supervisor will act as key worker for a proportion of the relevant caseload of adult service users, taking responsibility for their support/care plans and related risk assessments, and will keep accurate and timely records of meetings. The Supervisor will help to monitor the effectiveness of the service by ensuring that support staff are properly deployed and complete daily records and other required documentation, and the post involves overseeing the work of other key workers allocated to service users, but also providing hands-on personal care/support for some of our vulnerable service users where this is necessary.
