Service/Operations Manager
Edelway SA is a Swiss IT Services Consultancy. Our global multinational end-client based in Basel is currently looking to hire a Service/Operations Manager for initially 3 months with possible extension.
Working language: English. German is a plus.
Full time engagement for initially 6 months
Starting Date: ASAP
THE ROLE:
* Accountable for order placement and follow-up (end-to-end tracking)
* Place infrastructure orders according to detailed planning schedule and specifications from architects
* Align (bi-weekly) plan on detailed level with execution teams across entire supply chain
* Responsible for pushing the order until acknowledgement and delivery date confirmation
* Manage the request management resources
* Accountable for operational change management, perform reschedule/change of orders where necessary
* Place decommission orders according to detailed planning schedule
* Escalate as necessary in case of potential infrastructure delays
* Provide order data into process
* Deputize Integration Manager
* Contribute to excellent teamwork within program and across related initiatives
YOUR PROFILE:
* Fluent in English - oral and written
* German desirable
* Proven track record in service management and a strong focus on delivery
* Good understanding of infrastructure and applications architecture with a focus on UNIX, Windows and Oracle platforms
* Several years of experience in Service Management, preferably in a similar role
* Experience with MS Office Tools and MS SharePoint
* Team work in a challenging IT environment
* Ability to work in an international as well as multicultural environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a strong asset
* Flexibility and ability to deal with variable workload
