For our client from the science-based industry located in Sittard-Geleen, the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Service Manager.

Our client is looking to provide leadership in the workplace and infrastructure domain and to manage the global end-user managed services organisation delivering global End-user services worldwide in order to support the Business and Service organisations in achieving their business goals.

Key areas of accountability/responsibility
* Follows global ICT trends and developments in the world and incorporates them with the team into the End-User department service and IT strategy. Identifies technological opportunities, explores new technological concepts and drives the technological innovation agenda.
* Business relationship management on End-User department services.
* Assesses and prioritizes demand in order to compose a portfolio of initiatives and assures technical feasibility.
* Translates the strategy, road map and business demand in clear requirements, products and service description for an IT service, contributes to building sound business cases and get commitments from IT service owners.
* Negotiates, agrees and documents appropriate service targets (SLA) with representatives of the business and creates an agreed billing model for these services.
* Financial Management; budgeting for services, track realization, verification of services delivered and invoice checks, input for billing and cross charging for services to the clients business;.
* Maximizes the exploit of existing services and drives end-user adoption.
* Accountable towards the business for the delivery of the end-to-end services.
* Responsible for close alignment with the other Service Manager, Service Architects and Senior IT Engineers in order to guarantee end-2-end focus.
* Reviews performance with business.
* Sets business priorities for End-User department services as Service Owner.

Knowledge and educational level
* BA+/Master;
* Strong analytical skills;
* Knowledge of ITIL (service management and life cycle);
* In-depth knowledge about own domain (Workplace or IT Foundation);
* General knowledge about the other domain;
* Knowledge of market players and provided services;
* Strong English verbal and written skills.

Required level of experiences
* Experience in an IT environment > 6 years;
* Experience within the industry > 2 years;
* Experience with business relationship management > 2 years.
