Service Management

Service management consultants to support the Service and Monitoring team.

This group is working for the directorate System Engineering (SE) and is responsible for the provisioning and the maintenance of the client's monitoring toolings.
The scope of the monitoring includes the IT infrastructure components (applications, software and hardware) and the IT services and technical services delivered by this infrastructure.
The consultants will provide services required to deploy and maintenance of the client's monitoring tool.

The solution is based on:
- A Business Activity monitoring tool, Business Bridge from systar
- Nimsoft to monitor open system platform and network components.
- (NimSoft) and BusinessBridge (Systar) and Hyperic tools.

The consultants shall integrate new service requests for monitoring into the client's
monitoring solution. These Service requests are required by the Service level ,the availability management, system engineer teams and the application managers.
The monitoring tooling will be upgraded to include the new version of businessBridge (NG 5.2) and an interface with the client.

DELIVERABLES
*Monitoring Service Requests implementation:
As described in the previous section, The contractors have to implement Monitoring Services requests.
S/He will participate to the definition of the service request document with the requesters.
S/He will implement End to End the service request in the monitoring tools Using Business Bridge and Nimsoft.
*Deployment of Business Bridge NG 5.2:
- Business need to deployed in production with all the new features including the Failover based on a windows clustering solution.
- 2 Business Bridge Application need to migrated from BBR 4.1 to BBR 5.2, a Service Vision application and WideVisionAlert.

*A new Configuration Management System that hosts a CMDB is implemented at the client.
All the monitored objects (Services, Applications, Components) have to be maintained in the new CMDB.
An Interface has to be developed and implemented between Business Bridge and iET
*Provide the support to fix issues and problems in the production environment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
*The consultant requires a good understanding of the monitoring concepts such as Business Activity monitoring and Service monitoring.
*A good understanding of a configuration management system is wished to implement the interface with the CMDB and the ticketing system (iET).
*A basic knowledge of ITIL V3 is recommended
*Experience in writing secure and resilient code in Perl or Java.
*A very good understanding of Linux and Windows is mandatory.
