Service Development Manager

SERVICE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
DURATION: 3 months
LOCATION: WEST MIDLANDS

My client, a local authority based in the West Midlands is urgently seeking a Service Development Manager for an initial 3 month contract. They are looking for a qualified Social Worker who has recent experience of writing social care/social work guidance.

Your primary focus will be to develop, in collaboration with others, some key pieces of staff guidance/protocol/quality assurance.

Example areas are likely to be:

1) To develop and roll-out a risk assessment/enablement model, tool(s) and associated staff guidance, to provide coherence of practice across the County
2) To further develop guidance associated with making residential/nursing home care placements.
3) To support the requirement for new guidance associated with reviews/reviewing of packages of support (including direct payments etc).
4) Staff guidance to clarify the arrangements associated with arranging customer charging for some areas where local policy makes this possible, but it has not yet been implemented.

This is an urgent requirement and my client will be holding interviews on Friday 6th December.
