SERVICE DESK TECHNICIAN BROOMFIELD, CO 6 TO 8 MONTH CONTRACT, EXTENSION LIKELY

This Tech will be responsible for providing single point of contact Tier I phone support for users with network, account, hardware, software, access and peripheral support engaging with both onsite and offsite users.

Activities will also include following prescribed processes for onboarding/offboarding users in IT systems and processing requests for software/hardware/file access. Involves the use of problem management databases and call tracking software.

Focus of position is a strong commitment to customer service while maintaining first call resolution percentages of 80% and above in order to minimize user downtime and ensure a positive customer experience.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment.
- Performs basic computer hardware and software installations.
- Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly.
- Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support. This includes server that exceeds response time, repair time, lack of parts, or any other issues that could impact customer satisfaction.
- Performs work in compliance within specified warranty requirements.
- Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly.
- Basic networking and telecom wiring, patching down network lines, installing/racking network equipment.
- Travels from site to site as needed.
- After hours/weekends may be required and your schedule may be adjusted as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Desktop, laptop hardware knowledge
- Windows OS, MS Office, VPN, Entrust PKI
- Required: Windows XP/7, Microsoft Office Suite XP-2010, laptop/desktop HW, printer support, RAS (Remote Access), strong software support knowledge
- LAN functional knowledge/troubleshooting
- Quick Learner, Team Player, Strong Analytical Skills, Highly Organized
- Helpful: VoIP Knowledge and Lotus Notes
