A well-known broadcast/media client based in London are currently recruiting for a Service Design Specialist required to report to the Service Design and Delivery Manager for the design of new services resulting from projects (developments or other significant changes) ensuring that support models are fully costed and prepared for transition into business as usual service operations. The role will involve working with subject matter expects in Technology Operations to provide a gateway through which project teams engage with Technology Operations to initiate and design changes to new and existing services supplied by Technology Operations.

The Service Design Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the service portfolio, gathering service requirements, detailed design of support models, creating Service Acceptance Criteria (SAC) and associated documents to enable transition of services, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) are formulated and maintained for new/existing systems and facilities.

Essential skills and experience required:

- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrable experience of working effectively within collaborative team structures, ideally in a technology based business environment
- Ability to work on own initiative, unsupervised and maintain attention to detail at all times
- Experience of developing and managing SLAs in a diverse environment with multiple stakeholders
- Experienced in translating business strategy and objectives to enable identification and prioritisation of technology services
- Demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate own and team activities
- Ability to estimate risk, resource requirements and costs from minimal data
- Ability to analyse and simplify complex problems and to be able to communicate this to others at all levels
- Proven ability to persuade and influence others using a variety of communication styles
- Experience in building a network of contacts and maintaining high visibility as point-of-contact
- Ability to facilitate meetings and manage any conflicts to an acceptable resolution
- Experience of documenting process and procedures

Desirable skills and experience:

- Experience of providing a range of technology services within a 24/7, multiple site environment
- Experience of managing and maintaining an effective Service Portfolio in a complex multi system, multi-site environment support service environment
- Knowledge of best practice service management frameworks
- Good understanding of Change, Release and Configuration Management processes and procedures
- ITIL v3 Foundation Level is desirable
- ITIL Service Design is desirable

This is an initial 3 month contract starting 15th December 2014 - to be based in London
