Server Infrastructure Administrator

My Clients, a large pharmaceutical company, based in Basel, are looking for a Server Infrastructure Administrator for an initial 6 month contract.

For this role you will be responsible for:

- Support, troubleshoot and maintain our global physical server environment
- Server installation, Configuration, Life Cycle Management, Decommissions
- Continuous improvements made to the physical server environment to include repair and break fix
- In-depth knowledge of physical server infrastructure such as Chassis based system management as well as standalone server support.
- Work with other services teams such as Network, Storage, Backup and Middleware operations to support a global infrastructure

Your background will include:

- BA/BS degree and related industry experience preferred plus 5 years of enterprise support
- Significant work experience supporting a large physical enterprise computing environment
- Extensive understanding of a broad range of information technology as it pertains to:

Datacenter Operations

- Experience working with Dell and HP server hardware and various tools used to support physical infrastructure.
- Server life cycle management (deploy, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, remediate, retire)
- Virtualization technologies, and associated virtualization management systems (VMWare products a plus)
- Experience in industry regulatory governance methodologies such as GxP, SOX, SAS70, HIPPA, or similar auditory requirements
