Server and Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer Job

SERVER AND INFRASTRUCTURE MONITORING ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in LOS ANGELES, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:- Eight (8) year experience in Infrastructure monitoring with five (5+) years in Open source monitoring solution development
- Nagios

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform requirement gathering based on the existing HP OM and BSM monitoring setup.
- Perform PoC on various tools to perform a requirement gap analysis and identify solutions for meeting the gaps.
- Work with Vendor and internal stakeholders to design and document the solution architecture, document the standard operating procedures and install/implement the solution.
- Work with internal customers to understand their requirement and propose and develop a solution to meet the requirement.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum eight (8) year experience in Infrastructure monitoring with 5+ years in Open source monitoring solution development.
- Must have solid administration experience in Nagios.
- Experience with 'OP5' and 'Check_MK' is preferred.
- Must have knowledge of Shell, Perl, python Scripting. VB and Power Shell knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with synthetic transaction monitoring and tools like Gomez is preferred.
- Experience in HP monitoring tools like HP OM, BSM and Sitescope is preferred.
- Experience with BMC automation tools is preferred.
