SERVER ADMINISTRATOR - LINUX

Our client is an international bank located in Zurich.

We are looking for a contractor/consultant/temporary worker with excellent understanding of systems administration for Linux.

TASKS

- Responsible for the Linux domain of the multi-tenant managed services platform and Unix/Linux
- Design and implementation of a RedHat Satellite Server 5.
- Providing infrastructure support
- Scripting with Perl, Bash, Python (preferred)
- Ensure the rollout of a standards based estate using relevant config management tools

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience in a similar role within banking & financial services
- Linux Experience, including advanced administration and architectures
- Strong Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, Puppet)
- Deep knowledge of Linux (preferably RHEL) and open source alternatives
- Experience in both a 2nd level support role and engineering
- Good communication skills with IT staff, end users and VIPs
- Experience of managing highly available deployments made up of tens of Servers
- Advanced knowledge and experience of at least one Scripting language
- Experience in system design, installation and integration.
- Linux/Unix, ideally Red Hat/Solaris
- Some knowledge of DevOps methods
- Experience of managing highly available deployments made up of hundreds of Servers
- Fluency in English (written & spoken)

The assignment duration is planned for 3 MONTHS with a possible extension.

Start-date is ASAP.
