Senior Windows & Sharepoint Engineer

Federal Government Department looking to grow their team! We are currently seeking a Senior Windows Server and SharePoint Engineer on an initial contract until June 2014 with two x six month extension options (6+6). If you have outstanding MS Windows Server and SharePoint 2007 & 2010 hands on administration skills, this is the position for you!

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with thebuild ofnew infrastructure requirements and infrastructure changes including documentation to support on-going services.
- Development and maintenance of infrastructure systems in accordance with Branch objectives.
- Problem solving and resolution of infrastructure, server and SharePoint issues.
- Ensure relevant whole-of-government and industry standards and policies (particularly around security, interoperability and authentication) are adhered to.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

- Operational experience supporting SharePoint 2007 & 2010, preferably within a large government environment.
- Strong evidence and experience in managing SharePoint Farms in highly available and complex networks.
- Understanding and experience with other web technologies including Microsoft IIS, Apache and .Net.
- Have proven experience in the promotion of application release and software patches through SDLC environments.
- Evidence of troubleshooting and problem solving SharePoint 2007 & 2010 issues and performance tuning.
- Familiarity and experience with disaster recovery of SharePoint Farms and testing of DR plans.
- Have qualifications or a sound understanding of ITIL processes and methodologies.
- Have completed Microsoft SharePoint training with professional certifications.
