Senior WebSphere Application Server Specialist

We are currently looking for a Senior WebSphere Application Specialist. The project is expected to continue until the end of the year.

The successful candidate will be:
- Translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create custom information systems.
- Responsible for the deliverables of functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation.
- Deploying applications by Scripting the automatic deployment based on input from the application vendors.
- Planning, installing and configuring the product, implementing applications, setting up distributed queuing, enabling appropriate security, administrating and operating a queue manager network, enforcing organizational and operational standards, performing basic problem determination and implementing clustering and publishing/subscribing topologies.

Technical Requirements:
Min 5 years working as a senior WAS engineer within a project environment
Experience of above within a project environment using ITIL and Prince concepts
AIX & Linux skills (incl. shell+D237 Scripting)
WebSphere Application Server ND (v6.1,v7.0,v8.5)
Application deployment
Setup and configure SSL-MA
IBM httpserver or Apache httpserver & WAS plugin
networks (TCP/IP, routing)
clustering & loadbalancing
Jython, Urban Code (new standard as deployment tool) is not mandatory but a preference.
Good communication skills.
ITIL certification required.

High customer focus whilst ensuring IBMs standards and policies are maintained
