Type: 6 month contract (view to go perm)

A business training provider (covering multiple sites) is looking to hire a senior web designer based in their Manchester office. You will be fully responsible for leading the design, modification and drive developments of websites and web application user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

- Create and implement front-end web design on projects ranging from full site launches to one-off campaign pages
- Pioneer industry-leading online designs which support overall business and campaign objectives
- Work with the Design team to establish clear and consistent online branding
- Work with the Web Content team to create web page templates
- Create full specification and technical interaction notes for developers to implement
- To drive consistent standards, best practices and approaches through all web projects
- Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions, working towards the vision of responsive mobile compatible site solutions
- A good understanding of website information architecture to create a website

Required Experience:

- Strong portfolio in web and mobile design
- Firm knowledge of web standards, browser and device compatibility
- Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS/HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript
- Demonstrable UX/UI design skills
- Experience of working directly with developers
- A strong knowledge of Adobe suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
- Customer facing experience
- Minimum of 5 years lead web design experience
