Senior Web and Application Tester - Immediate Start - 5 Month Contract

Our Client is seeking multiple Web and Application Testers to join a Government department to work on their new project.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage structured testing across the disciplines of: System, Functional, Integration and end to end regression testing.
- Work with business and system analysts to review and clarify business requirements and functional specification documents;
- Work closely with the development team in the analysis of defect causes so as to assist with their resolution; and
- Plan and prepare relevant testing documentation using standard tool, eg test plan, test cases, test scripts;
- Define and prepare test data;
- Raise defects/issues and log and track faults using standard tool, eg MTM;
- Follow-up and resolve outstanding testing defects/issues; and
- Report on test progress and escalate issues when necessary.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- 3 years minimum experience as a Systems and Functional Tester working on large scale projects within an agile environment;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, in particular well developed SQL Scripting skills;
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills with specific attention to quality and detail; and
- Team player with excellent interpersonal
