Senior VRU Programmer Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST-VRU to join our client in Centennial, CO.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Programmer Analyst - VRU is a member of the Software Engineering Team and will work closely with the QA Team, Operations, Business Associates, and other development teams to perform analysis and define functionality for Edify IVR system improvements and new applications. This position will also lead various phases of development and maintenance projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and maintain Edify IVR applications
- Lead or participate in process improvement and act as a change agent
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring
- Define and implement technical directions and architecture of assigned projects
- Perform system analysis, design, development, unit testing, and debugging of IVR applications
- Create design and architecture documentation
- Perform peer code reviews and design reviews
- Perform research and make recommendations for systems and application upgrade and updates
- Enhance and adhere to established coding standards and industry best practices

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in related discipline
- Five (5) plus years of experience in Edify IVR systems
- Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
- Speech Recognition experience
- Write and tune Nuance grammars
- TTS tuning (including dictionary editing)
- Voice User Interface design experience - help design questions and possible answers
- Collecting the Speech Recognition sample data and analyze the existing grammar responses
- Improve grammars for better recognition rate
- Working knowledge of PBX Skills VDNs and Vectoring
- Working knowledge of AVAYA CTI applications
- MS SQL Server experience - developing Stored Procedures
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects
- Ability and willingness to be in on-call production support rotation and respond to emergency issues
- Voice XML
- .NET and/or Java experience
- C/C++ experience
- Knowledge of Speech Recognition VUI analysis, design, development, implementation, and on-going tuning
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Oracle experience
- Microsoft Office suite
