Senior Virtualization Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER to join our client in Pittsburgh, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The client is looking for a senior-level VMware Administrator/Architect to join their Virtualization team to assist with continued development of our VMware virtual infrastructure initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Implementing operating systems in a virtualized/cloud environment.
- Documentation of vSphere policies, procedures and standards utilizing problems solving skills.
- Responsible for daily administration of multiple VMware and VSphere environments.
- Maintenance of Active Directory and virtualized Microsoft Exchange infrastructure.
- Documenting and implementing exchange environments on virtualization and internal communications platforms using collaboration tools.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business or related field.
- VCP certification(s) are strongly preferred.
- Three plus (3+) years of experience designing, deploying and supporting vCenter and vSphere 4/5 environments in a global enterprise data center.
- Advanced experience deploying and supporting vSphere running on multiple storage vendors technologies and protocols (ie IBM SVC, NetApp, EMC/fiber channel and iSCSI attached/CIFS, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, and NFS ).
- Extensive experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems running as Virtual Machines.
- Understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and implementation/operating experience in virtualized/cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, VLANs, network segmentation, and OSI model.
- Scripting and Automation experience in VMware virtual infrastructure.
