Virtualization Consultant - VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM Virtualization Solutions Architect If you are a Consultant with extensive virtualization experience, please read on!

We are an award winning provider of IP test and measurement solutions used by customers worldwide to test and determine the performance limitations of virtualized and physical network infrastructures and Cloud solutions. We are currently in the process of enhancing our Virtual Machine Orchestration solution and have an opening for a Consultant at our Milpitas office!

This consultant will report directly to the VP of Engineering, collaborating with senior members of our Virtualization team involved in developing, deploying and optimizing our award winning product across various virtualization platforms. The initial contract will be for three months.

What you'll be doing:

- Direct the optimization and tuning of our flagship product
- Direct the optimization and tuning of specific virtualization platforms where our product is deployed, (ESXi, Hyper-V, XenServer and KVM)
- Produce deployment guidelines for optimizing installations
- Assist with strategic planning for future versions
- Occasional on-site work may be required with key customers in Silicon Valley

What you need for this position:

- 10+ years experience working in vitualization, networking, Kernel development or related fields.
- Experience tuning vitualization platforms for optimal network performance
- Experience with VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer and KVM
- Experience tuning linux kernels, (Fedora and Busybox a plus), and device drivers for optimal network performance
- Experience with IP-based networking protocols and standards
- Experience with Real Time or Embedded OSes a PLUS!
