Sr. VDI Technology Specialist

Position: 6 months contract until 31/12/2013
Start: ASAP
Location: Zeist, Netherlands
Rate: EUR 60-64 per hour

I am currently recruiting for a Sr. VDI Technology Specialist for 6 months contract.

You will be doing VDI improvement and research into the applicability of new developments within the bank VDI chain which is based on Citrix Netscaler & XenDesktop, Microsoft Windows 7, VMware vSphere and specific VDI Blade and storage technology.
Based on your knowledge and technological vision you work together in a project to improve this chain with high availability across the VDI chain is a major concern.
Advice, forms redesign (by growth of 5,000 to 30,000 virtual desktops) and for research on new components within the VDI chain (eg VDI and blade storage hardware) part of your work.

Requirements:
* Higher educational
* HBO/WO thinking and working level
* Several years experience in a complex Microsoft/Citrix/VMware environment.
* Specialist knowledge and experience with various parts of the chain, such as VDI (IIS) Portal, Citrix NetScaler, Citrix XenDesktop 5.x (Broker & PVS Provisioning), Windows 7, VMWare vSphere 4.x/5.x and VDI Hardware ( Blade and Storage Solutions).
* Specialist knowledge and experience in optimization high availability of the VDI chain.
* Knowledge about Thin Clients (end-point) in the VDI chain
* Knowledge REGARDING monitoring of VDI chain
* Experience in consulting, development/design and project work
