Senior VAT Manager

Our client, a leader within the financial services sector, is recruiting for a Senior VAT Manager. The role is to be based in Canary Wharf, London.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:  

Managing VAT compliance, advisory and planning for all allocated businesses (working with the VAT compliance team and business finance teams where required).

Ensure that the business are provided with the highest standard of VAT technical support, providing accurate advice to questions and updating the business is aware of VAT technical issues that may be relevant to the business.

Build strong, lasting relationships with the businesses and wider stakeholders through closer alignment and more involvement with the day-to-day activities of the customer, ensuring that VAT is a key consideration in business decisions  

Work with the business, UK VAT Compliance and other functions to ensure that all internal and external reporting obligations are met.

Candidates should ideally be ACA and/or ATII qualified, alternatively with relevant experience gained from within HR Revenue and Customs, industry or practice. Prior financial services sector experience would be advantageous.
