SENIOR VALUER, ESTATES MANAGEMENT, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, DERBY, CONTRACT

Senior Valuer required for an initial 2 month contract to be based from my client's offices in Derby.

The purpose of this post is to undertake professional work related to the property portfolio in accordance with statutory requirements. To participate in providing a valuation and property management service.

You will be undertaking complex and sensitive casework and valuations involving the corporate estate including commercial and domestic property in the areas of:

Estates Management
Landlord and Tenant
Acquisition and Disposal
Compulsory acquisition and compensation
Health and Safety
Asset Valuations

You will take a personal lead on or manage aspects of allocated Estates led projects under the direction of the Principal Asset Valuer, Major Projects Valuer or Estates Manager. Prepare complex reports for officer and member meetings and attend officer, external organisation led and Member meetings as the Estates Team's representative as necessary. Manage professional, technical and administrative staff allocated, establishing and maintaining priorities, reorganising, allocating, programming and monitoring workloads.

Actively promote good estates management practice, initiating and where instructed to, lead on the development and implementation of proposals aimed at enhancing the effectiveness. You will contribute to the budget management process and personally manage arrears recovery on allocated caseload.

Please note that it is not essential for you to be a registered Valuer, however you will have at least 2/3 years' experience in the relevant field. Experience within a Local authorities sector is essential.
