Senior UX Designer

Our client, a multinational in the Consumer Goods industry, is looking for a SENIOR UX DESIGNER to bring fresh ideas around user centered design, prototyping and ergonomics of software solutions.

The successful candidate will support the Process Owner by contributing to the definition of a collaborative methodology for design, build and test of software solutions. The methodology will encompass user-centered design, prototyping, usability and Agile development (Scrum). The consultant will drive a change in thinking about usability and user-centered design throughout the organisation. You will also be required to coach and support new users of iRise, contribute to the development of training material for the integration of user-centered design in the software development life cycle, and support project teams who are involved in user-centered development and testing.

Candidates interested in this role should have a passion for user interaction, software design and ergonomics.

In addition, candidate must be able to demonstrate:

- Experience with prototyping software (Axure, iRise, Balsamiq, etc.)
- A multidisciplinary background
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Meeting facilitation skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong skills/experience in the following areas:
- Usability, Design Patterns, User Experience, User-Centered design
- End-User testing
- Expert review
- Requirement gathering/elicitation
- Experience of working with the Scrum methodology would be a plus
- Experience of using iRise would be a plus
- French would be a plus

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT - THE INITIAL CONTRACT IS UNTIL THE END OF DECEMBER 2012 TO START WITH, WITH A GOOD CHANCE OF EXTENSION BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND TEAM PRIORITIES. THE CLIENT IS LOCATED MINUTES FROM LAKE GENEVA, ON THE SWISS RIVIERA AND CLOSE TO LAUSANNE. INFO-TECH WILL PROVIDE ADVICE AND SUPPORT THROUGH YOUR RELOCATION IF YOU ARE WORKING IN SWITZERLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME.
