Senior User Interface Developer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR USER INTERFACE DEVELOPER/SOFTWARE ENGINEER to work at our client in San Ramon, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Our client is offers the unique opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary research teams that deliver state-of-the-art solutions in the Energy, Healthcare, Aviation, Transportation and Financial industries. Utilizing your skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, design tools, and Back End technologies, you will work in a team environment to deliver software designs that bring exciting ideas to life and deliver excellent products for our clients.

Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the translation of design concepts into working software.
- Act as a member of the UX team, representing the face of high quality design practices. This includes participation in all aspects of UX: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design and visual design.
- Be a subject matter expert in the area of design technology and engineering. Stay up to date on current trends in Front End development for web, mobile, desktop and tablet apps.
- Translate UX design process for an engineering-driven company.
- Ensure that engineering teams work efficiently with design teams.
- Research and define patterns, toolkits and services that support a well designed user interface on all of our client's software products. Work with various engineering teams to support adoption of these tools.
- Build prototypes and proof of concepts (PoC) in order to demonstrate software design concepts. Work with the larger UX team to test prototypes for usability and acceptance.
- Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Java, PHP, Ruby, or other Back End technologies to deliver our products to our clients.

Job Qualifications:
- Senior User Interface Developer with seven to ten (7-10) years experience in software development and design.
- Hands-on expertise building web applications with Front End expertise using
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Back End technology: eg Java, PHP, Ruby- Must understand it but will not be doing Back End coding.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in interaction design and visual design.
- Experience delivering applications for a variety of platforms including web, desktop and mobile.
- Experience with screen design tools such as the Adobe CS5 suite and OmniGraffle.
- A passion for design, coding, delivering great products, and bringing ideas to life.
