My client, a multinational technology company, is looking to hire a Senior User Experience/User Interface Designer. This is an initial 6 month daily rate contract role, based in Dublin city center.

THE ROLE:
As a Senior User Experience/User Interface Designer you will be involved in the end-to-end product life cycle from planning to quality assurance. You are expected to be the voice of the end user and a representative of professional design at all levels within the company. To qualify you need to have experience and demonstrated skills creating designs for native iOS and Android applications and Windows Phone is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the end-to-end User Experience to develop best-in-class solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and deliver high quality mobile applications.
- Ensure quality is delivered in all user experience areas including design, usability, accessibility, utility, ergonomics, performance, and marketing.
- Participate in product strategy and direction.
- Translate business and marketing goals into the best software solutions.
- Develop and maintain wireframes, visual design mockups, prototypes, and other design documents.
- Work with feature development teams to make sure that the workflow reflects the customer's needs and ensure consistency among features.
- Develop expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products and bring new ideas to the team.
- Define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles that result in improved user productivity and increased usage.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A portfolio of interaction-design work, including use case analyses, flows, interactive prototypes, and design specifications, that illustrates knowledge of standard user experience design principles and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of the iOS and Android User Interface Guidelines and an understanding of pattern-based design for mobile applications
- Experience working and designing in an agile environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using professional design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, OmniGraffle or Visio, and Axure.
- Experience in the creation of visual designs, including graphics, icons, and full-scale mockups.
- Demonstrated UI development and/or prototyping skills.
- Passion for the research and usability testing related aspects of the product-design life cycle.
- Formal design education
- Comfortable working with remote teams
