Senior Unix/Solaris system administrator FR/DU/EN

Fujitsu is actively looking for a Senior system administrator Unix/Solaris to work for a Belgian institution in Brussels.

Tasks

You will be part of the Back Office Operations team within the Infrastructure Solaris Operations Unit

- Responsible for installation of Servers (mainly Fujitsu M5000/9000 and Sun T4) and containers
- Upgrades and patching of Solaris using Live update
- Participate in the definition of service improvements and innovations in the existing Unix (Solaris) environment
- Ensure, on a daily basis, the control, integrity and accessibility of the Servers, applications and databases.
- Provide fault isolation as well as the implementation of new versions
- Create and maintain operational documentation
- Implementation of change projects.
- Solve fundamental design and capacity problems

About you

- Graduate or equivalence experience
- 5 years of experience in a similar function
- Proven working experience in IT systems administration/support/configuration.
- Strong ability to work in a team, to report and to work under pressure
- Good Communication skills and Customer Oriented
- Rigorous and ambitious
- FR/DU/EN fluent
- Technical Skills
- Required:
- Sun Solaris (Zones/Containers) 9,10,11
- Sparc/CMT
- ZFS

- BD2 knowledge
- RedHat Linux
- Knowledge of SAN-concepts and terminology
- Security Management & tools
- Java based Middle-tiers
- Knowledge of ITIL (Change, Capacity, Configuration, ... mgmt)
