My client, a UK based provider of IT Infrastructure services with global reach across the Defense and Governmental sectors is currently working closely with NATO on a number of telephony projects looking to kick off in September 2013.

Project topics will include major upgrades of IP PBXs, the interconnection of PBXs based on IP trunks, or the deployment of Unified Communication technologies. Secure Video Teleconferencing (VTC) migration projects will also be ongoing; such as preparing the hardware replacement or the software upgrade existing infrastructure.

This is a fantastic long-term contract role spanning across 3 years (3x 1 year extendable projects) in the beautiful setting of Luxembourg. The role may require travel between NATO states and so applicants MUST be in possession of a valid EU passport. Candidates MUST hold valid NATO SC clearance or transferable SC level clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Languages: English
- 5 years' experience in Unified Communications (voice and video-conferencing) specifically operational support is mandatory
- University degree or equivalent experience in computer science

THE SENIOR UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER MUST PROVE THAT HE/SHE HAS A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF THESE PRODUCTS AND ASSOCIATED TECHNOLOGIES, THE ABILITY TO CONFIGURE THEM, AND SIGNIFICANT DEPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE:

- Cisco Expressway
- Cisco ISDN Gateway
- Cisco Presence
- Cisco CuciLync
- Informacast
- Cisco/Tandberg Video endpoints
- Cisco codecs
- Cisco MCU
- Microsoft Lync

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of various networking environment operating systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft products and technologies
- Able to coordinate third-party maintenance for Unified Communications equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting Unified Communications, Network and application performance with performance monitoring tools.

EXPERIENCE
- 3 years Experience with Daily Unified Communications, network and systems operational and support activities
- 2 years experience in an Senior Unified Communications Engineer role, implementing and supporting Unified Communications infrastructures
- 2 years experience with Cisco Unified Communications design.
