Senior Transmission Engineer

This is the best possible place for an experienced Transmission Engineer to be - exciting project. You will be involved in Planning/TX architecture/design and performance management.

THE ROLE:

- Provide Transmission Capacity Planning and Performance Management skills
- Reporting on all Transmission and Ethernet platforms across microwave links, packet aggregators - working on the following equipment - (Huawei PTN1900/3900), optical (SDH, Optical Packet Networking, DWDM - mostly Ericsson), (Huawei CX600)
- Analyse data in order to offer solutions to customer
- Lifecycle management and design reviews
- Be across current support status of all software issues that impact all Transmission platforms - Ethernet, Microwave, DWDM, Optical etc
- Work closely with vendors to understand available releases and what new functionality and bug fixes they provide
- Involvement with test plan review and first application release
- Review high level and detail designs in the transmission domain

YOUR BACKGROUND:

- Expert User of Excel
- Need to be able to readily understand Transmission network architecture and understand detailed Transmission Designs
- Experience on IP Ethernet, Microwave and Optical projects.
- Transmission design/planning/capacity management/performance management experience.
