An opportunity based in London exists for a Senior Thermal Mechanical Engineer with experience in Renewable Energy to design Greenfield Power Plants inWestern Africa. There is a huge power demand in the region and this start up is working closely with the government to increase supply and provide 40,000MW generating capacity by the year 2020. This is a massive opportunity to be apart of an SME at its early stages and stamp your mark on the company. As with any SME you will be working closely with the CEO and M.D. to achieve their goals though as they are aggressively growing the company your success will lead to bigger opportunities for you to grow your own career. The Senior Thermal Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering technology support to in house engineering teams and major clients. You will have experience in basic and detailed engineering design, construction, commissioning and the operation of Combined Cycle Power Plants and associated systems. Responsibilities: - Specification of: * Gas Turbines * Steam Turbines * Compressors * Pumps * Heat recovery stem generators * Tanks * Process Packages * Other Mechanical/Hydraulic Equipment for Combined Cycle Power Plants. You should have a minimum of 7 years experience in Power Plant Design. An Advanced Engineering Degree in Mechanical Thermal and Fluid Sciences; a Chartered Engineering Certification would be a plus.
