Senior Test Solution Engineer

Senior Test Solution Engineer required to perform design, development, commissioning and support of new test solutions to automatically test state of the art, complex electronic equipment across a number of projects.

Typical activities will include:
Development of automated test solutions for complex digital, RF/microwave and mixed technology products. This includes hardware design, software coding, testing and integration, using a variety of high level languages (but primarily National Instruments Labview and TestStand).
Production of documentation to support all phases of the test engineering life cycle.
Commissioning of test software and hardware with test subject hardware.
Providing support for and completing updates to test solutions at a number of manufacturing sites within the UK.
Liaison with the design teams to engineer and review test methods and solutions.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Design of digital ATE test programs is essential.
Digital functional test is essential.
Test fixture design for digital ATE is essential.
Boundary scan test development is essential.
Developing software for instrument control.
Experience in the design of automated test systems for RF and/or analogue products is desirable.
Experience in the use of National Instruments LabView and/or TestStand.
The ability to integrate and solve technical problems in a combined hardware and software domain.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge and practical experience of test solution design, including hardware and software development.
Proven ability to take test solutions from concept stage, through design, certification and into service.
Knowledge of the engineering development life cycle, associated processes and documentation
Knowledge of software/hardware configuration management tools is desirable.
Knowledge of PCB CAD tools is desirable.
Experience of developing software in a ISO9000 software quality environment is desirable.
Candidtes must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
