SENIOR TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER (CONTRACT)
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Automation Team. Reporting to the QA Manager, you will work closely with a highly talented team in a fast paced agile environment. You will apply your knowledge of test automation, QA test methodologies, practices, tools and technologies in an exciting agile development environment. A successful candidate will be a highly adaptable team player with a positive, fun and supportive attitude, and a passion for building quality software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop and implement Test Automation Frameworks and functional test scripts for new and existing features
- Maintain automation scripts with Selenium (C# and Ruby flavours)
- Assist in review on the business requirements and identify gaps/conflicts with the existing system
- Design and develop specific automation toolkits and automation policies including integration of automated test execution into the development process
- Participate in all aspects of the Agile Scrum development process, including daily standup, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospective
- Interact with software developers and quality assurance analysts to ensure the deliverables meet testing requirements and coverage
- Escalate issues to QA Manager/QA Lead quickly and effectively
- Log defects and work closely with developers to investigate, troubleshoot and verify defect fixes
- Involved in organizing and executing all stages of testing leading up to a successful release the product
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related program
- 4+ years experience in software test automation
- Experience with Selenium
- A Programming background with experience in any of the following languages: C# (preferred), Ruby(preferred) and Python
- Experience working with web testing tools such as firebug, fiddler, wireshark
- Strong knowledge of SQL and familiarity with SQL Server Database is required
- Experience working with web technologies such as .net, Spring framework, Javascript
- Experience with analysing logs to troubleshoot the root cause of error

- Knowledge and exposure in Agile software development methodologies (Scrum)
- Experience analysing business requirements
