ROLE SUMMARY:

This role is for a Senior Test Analyst who will join highly skilled global desktop engineering project responsible as part of a test team for Quality Assurance (testing) in areas such as desktop, laptop, VM and tablet based on Microsoft landscape. In this particular role the candidate will be responsible for analysing requirements, creating test cases, execution of integration tests with focus on core windows build, SCCM, and applications which are included in build: Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Oracle Java and Adobe

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

The Senior Test Analyst is required to analyse in-scope business requirements from product management to enable and actively develop, review and sign-off test cases (and test data) in advance of upcoming releases. Management and execution of Test Sets/Suites to ensure full coverage. Requirements traceability to be established to ensure coverage of all in-scope scenarios in order to facilitate consistent test reporting across all Test levels.

- Oversee the preparation of Unit Tests by the Engineering teams
- Preparation and execution of Integration Tests together with QA teams
- Support the QA/Test lead in test management tasks (environment, tools, data, test readiness, etc.) and help represent the test team with internal/external stakeholders
- Defect Management on all Test Levels, retests and early escalation of risks
- Support QA/Test Reporting and QA/Test Dashboards covering all Test Levels
- Support the preparation and implement the Test Strategy, Test Plan and other required Test Deliverables in line with our client testing standards
- Timely delivery and reporting of assigned activities and deliverables
- Plan, control, assure and improve the quality of the project solutions delivered and the supporting engineering processes
- Plan, control, assure and IMPROVE TEST PLANNING, TEST DESIGN, TEST EXECUTION, TEST DATA, TEST INFRASTRUCTURE, TEST TOOLS, TEST ENVIRONMENTS, BUG TRACKING AND TEST REPORTING
- Plan, design, execute and report tests
- Generate test data, test cases, assures bug tracking and establishes test analysis and reports
- Develop automated test scripts

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in QA/Testing
- ISTQB certification "Certified Tester" Foundation or Advanced level
- Proven track record in test case design, test execution and Defect Management
- Strong understanding of testing and delivery life cycle methodologies
- Experience in engaging businesses in execution of testing
- Technical test tool skills (eg HP ALM Quality Center, UFT/QTP, JIRA, etc.)
- Proven testing experience in the Banking industry is a plus
- Experience working in environments as part of a team supporting or engineering Windows client deployments.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows Client Environment and of integrating Clients systems with other core Infrastructure components
- Familiarity of troubleshooting in areas such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Chrome or Java (The more items covered the better)
- An understanding of the security requirements of deploying a Desktop build within a financial Institution and the ability to interpret security standards and ensure adherence
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, be extremely self-motivated, be able to work with minimal guidance and have the ability to own problems through to resolution. Ability to collaborate across a diverse global team.
- Understanding of regulatory environment and requirements
- Thorough knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (focus Windows 10)
- Strong Experience of testing and debugging applications on a Windows platform
- Strong knowledge of Internet Explorer troubleshooting, including Java and .NET apps
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (2010 or later) and integrated technologies
- Knowledge from testing perspective of any of the following an advantage:
- MSI and packaging methodologies
- Knowledge of VBS & PowerShell
- Knowledge of Windows Client deployment
- Knowledge of Active Directory, especially Group Policies
- Knowledge of WMI
- Experience of App-v based application troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows Server
- Previous experience of integration work
- Experience of Virtualizing Desktop Environment and Citrix technologies
- Knowledge of PKIs
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
