Senior Test Analyst/Automation Specialist (FX Trading) - SYD CBD

THE COMPANY

Our client is one of Australia's leading financial organizations, currently expanding operations beyond the Australian shores. The organization is currently investing large sums in Investment Technology (Institutional Banking) and has a large range of financial offerings to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. They have a very large technical footprint that combine a dynamic range of technologies in a complex landscape.

THE TEAM

The team is responsible for improving and support electronic trading systems responsible for FX/MM (Foreign Exchange/Money Markets) trading and pricing systems for the organization and includes a wide range of talented technologists including: Developers, Testers, Business Analysts, Environment Engineers and Application Support Analysts. It's essentially a self-sufficient team within the company and they're looking for another Senior Tester to bolster the teams' expertise in this area.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for completing, end to end testing of FX Trading systems and their related pricing engines in what is a complex and fluid environment. There will be a mix of BAU and project initiatives and strong focus on test automation (QTP) but you'll employ the full gambit of testing methods including but not limited to: ST, SIT, Regression and Performance testing. There's an array of open source and vendor test management tools at your disposal (eg QC - Quality Centre or Rational tool suites) and you'll need to have solid SQL Scripting, some OO language coding (C#, Java) skills along with experience testing in multi-platform environments (Windows Server, UNIX/Linux etc).

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

- 6 - 8 years of Testing experience with a specific focus on Test Automation (essential).
- Strong FX/eFX (Forex, Foreign Exchange, Money Markets) product knowledge (essential).
- You will be evaluated on FX (Swaps, Forwards, Options)!
- Current experience with Proprietary or Vendor Automation Platforms (eg QTP - QuickTest Professional).
- Experience with: SIT, Regression, UAT and performance testing.
- Multi-platform environment experience (Windows, Linux) and SQL skills.
- Proficient with SQL Scripting and Test Management tools (eg QC).
- Proficient in at least one OO language (C#, Java, C++, Python).
- Strong understanding of both the SDLC and Project life cycle.
- IT Degree/Diploma or Industry relevant certifications (eg ISTQB).
