Senior Teradata Technical Specialist

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Teradata Technical Specialist to work in the Business Intelligence (BI) DWH capability on projects under the BI Program of work and supporting our client's major programs. These services are also required for NGDC Migration and the introduction of a range of new Teradata products (Data Mover and Unity, Multi System Manager) being delivered with the refreshed Teradata platform at NGDC.

As part of the Infrastructure assurance and performance management group and under the direction of the Senior Director you will:

- Undertake a range of complex technical and project-orientated tasks associated with support and development and tuning of physical models/datamarts and Datawarehouse Applications
- Undertake a range of complex technical and project-orientated tasks associated with the analysis of DWH data holdings, and transaction accesses against these data holdings, to enable the configuration/optimisation of new technologies that enable cross DWH platform data processing.
- Provide specialist technical support to Datawarehouse Developers and Users.
- Assist other Technical Specialists in resolving operational issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and produce operational reports for technical and business audiences.
- Prepare technical documentation and guidelines relating to SQL efficiencies and best practice DWH application development for technical and business audiences.
- Assist investigation and resolution of complex operational issues involving the Datawarehouse and related data flows.
