Projektbeschreibung
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyzes blue prints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems
- Coordinates with Building Trades Manager and/or other crew members for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
- Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair
- Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and building regulations
- Inspects electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance
- Installs electrical system components (eg lighting, alarms, electrical panels, Switches, circuits, timers, lift station control panels, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities
- Repairs electrical components and/or systems (eg motors, circuits, transformers, generators, compressors, Switches, intercom systems, kitchen equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition
- Physically install Category 3, Category 5 & 5e, Category 6 structured cable distribution systems
- Installation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing and labeling cables to industry standards
- Terminate, assemble and install 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectors
- Accurately test copper and fiber (multimode and single mode) cables to required certification parameters utilizing appropriate test equipment as required
- Diagnose and correct copper and optical fiber problems
- Removal and demolition of abandoned cables
- Maintain and reference industry standards including NEC, NFPA 70e, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and State Electrical and Low Voltage Code
- Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
- Maintains assigned vehicle, equipment, and tools for the purpose of ensuring availability in a safe operating condition
- Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions
- Prepares written materials (eg repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information
- Performs related duties as apparent or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform variable physical requirements in a construction or skilled trade's environment
- Minimum five years experience as a licensed electrician
- Ohio Electrical Contractor License required
- BICSI Technician or similar certification preferred
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Training Course certificate
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit teamwork approach that recognizes contribution of all employees
- Valid Ohio driver license
- Must be non-smoker/tobacco user
STARTING WAGE: $24.38 per hour (.50 cent increase each six months until achieving the union base rate of $25.88)
