SR. TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER, ERP/SCRUM SEATTLE, WA 8 MONTH CONTRACT

This particular position is for a Scrum Master role. Extensive Agile background required. This candidate will lead highly complex projects or segments and phases of complex projects for a business unit, department or functional area. May provide some limited functional support for the department.

SCRUM MASTER SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Responsible for the team's adoption of Scrum and practice of it
- Ensures Scrum Framework is followed including required meetings and artifacts.
- Adapts with team to constantly improve performance and responsiveness.
- Coordinates and facilitates Scrum meetings such as, daily standup, sprint planning, release planning, and sprint retrospectives.
- Removes any obstacles which are blocking or slowing down the teams.
- Identifies and coordinates dependencies with external teams.
- Provides visibility to team status and issues to senior management.
- Promotes a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
- Mentors team members on agile software development principles and practices.
- Coordinates and schedules the execution of deliverables across multiple teams.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinates or participates in all phases of the project life cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, training and closure.
- Ensures that the project achieves the expected results within time and on budget.
- May direct the work of others.
- Ensures effective ongoing communication throughout the project.
- Meets with key managers to coordinate meetings, assignments and deadlines.
- Communicates changes to appropriate parties. Identifies issues and resolves or escalates them as appropriate.
- Gathers, organizes, analyzes and reports information in support of moderately complex projects to improve profitability, reduce costs, streamline operations or enhance customer service.
- Represents business unit, department or functional area on cross-functional project teams.
- Tracks progress towards achievement of project goals.
- Facilitates complex team meetings involving business and technical resources. Demonstrates credibility as an IT partner to ensure business and technology decisions are reached to support business goals and objectives.
- Maintains project documentation and prepares activity reports on the project's status, timeline and budgets.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 10 years direct work experience in a project leadership capacity, preferably with a Big 4 consulting firm or in a senior position in industry.
- Demonstrated experience implementing large ERP solutions (Oracle preferred)
- Specific functional/technical subject matter expertise to the project, as applicable, Oracle Manufacturing (Process/Discrete), Oracle Transportation Management, Supply/Demand Planning, WMS, Finance, HR
- Experience across the entire delivery life cycle (SDLC), ie proven experience managing complex projects from conception to completion with limited guidance
- Demonstrated ability to command the attention and respect of senior level leaders and confidently make presentations to large and executive audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience with large complex enterprise level IT implementations is required
- Demonstrated Scrum Master experience in an Agile software development life cycle environment
- Experience with an offshore software development model highly desirable
- Experience leading the transition from Waterfall to Agile highly desirable
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Moderate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
- Analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
- Knowledge of standards, practices and techniques of project management
- Ability to organize large volumes of data for compilation, analysis and retrieval
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution; MBA or equivalent desirable
- PMP/PMI certification, Six Sigma or equivalent preferred
