Senior Technical Architect- Voice & Data Communications

This large, reputable NSW Government organisation requires a SENIOR TECHNICAL DESIGN SPECIALIST to join their Infrastructure Solutions Development team where you will analyse requirements, produce technical designs, and implement/build infrastructure designs for multiple projects.

The successful candidate will have technical subject matter expertise on voice and data communications technologies, including at least 3 of:

- Cisco based VoIP solutions
- Unified Communications, Voicemail, Fax gateway
- Data Communications, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, spanning tree protocol, MPLS, VLANS, IPSEC tunnelling and high availability configurations
- Perimeter security, Firewalls, IDS/IIPS, VPN
- Managing, configuring and troubleshooting load balancing devices
- Nexus class Data Centre deployment
- Performance monitoring and configuration
- Call centre technologies
- Enterprise Wireless technologies

In depth knowledge of best practices for Enterprise Architecture, Information Management, EAI, Business Continuity Management, and DR, as well as a demonstrated ability to conduct feasibility studies and to write and develop comprehensive business cases for new technology solutions is required.

You must also have:

- Excellent communication skills,
- Ability to work well in a team
- Experience delivering projects and in supporting the planning of project activities
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate and influence
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with competing priorities and deliver within set timeframe's.
